Food Storage
At JPA we care about people and this is another way to help.
When our world was created the garden had food. Natural disasters and other adversity has come over the history of our world and our nation. We can be prepared for anything to come with some simple steps, food storage, water and some savings. The basic starters can consist of some meat, potatoes, rice and vegetables. Prepare for a minumum of 3 months per person and work your way up to a year.
Some simple planning such as a weeks menu then break down those ingredients and how many servings it will feed and times by 52 weeks
Example:
Breakfast: Eggs
Lunch: Soup (Hambuger soup)
Hamburger, Salt and Pepper, Onion, vegetables (16 oz hamburger, (x52) 1 tsp salt, (x52) 1tsp pepper, (x52) 1/4 cup onion, (x52) 2 cups vegetables (green beans, corn, carrots) (x52)
Dinner: Chicken and Rice Casserole 12 oz chicken, (x52) 5 oz cream of chicken,(x52) 4 cups Rice,(x52) 1 tsp salt,(x52) 1 cup cheese(x52)
Fruitsalad 1 cup apples, (x52) 1 cup appricot,(x52) 1/4 cup cocconut (x52)
Next step add up your multiples
1 tsp salt x2 (2 recipes) x 52 weeks in a year = 104 tsp of salt for these 2 recipe's for a year.
Its not complicated at all when you do one step at a time.
